Hey Y'all
The International Blues Challenge remains one of this year's highlights! I didn't win.. but what a fantastic experience. Lots of music heard and played, lots of great people met and jammed with.

Been doing a little work here and there with the Heather Stewart Trio - and sometimes just Heather and I in Duo format. Heather's new CD will be out soon through Black Market Music, yay!

A project from a couple of years ago that I am still very proud of was playing guitar and harmonica for a group called Ngarukuruwala. The group centres around the traditional singing of the Strong Women's Choir from Bathurst Island - one of the Tiwi Islands off Darwin - backed by a group of Jazz and Orchestral musos... and me! What an amazing experience and opportunity.
In May 2008 I spent 5 days on Bathurst Island where we played music and recorded a CD. Ngarukuruwala then performed at the Studio Theatre of the Sydney Opera House in July. It was a terrific night of music. And the CD - Ngarukuruwala, We Sing Songs - picked up an award at the Northern Territory Indigenous Music awards.
In August 2010 I will be heading back up to Bathurst Island to collaborate with the choir and a bunch of other musicians on some new material, and then performing with the group at the Darwin Festival.
